MONDAYS & WEDNESDAYS
6 PM GMT
Most home producers have a folder full of unfinished ideas. This music producer course takes one of yours all the way to a commercially viable, release-ready record.
Dominic Morley, a Grammy-winning producer and mixer whose credits include Amy Winehouse’s Back to Black and Adele’s 19 (Mark Ronson’s version), will show you how to record, mix, master and sell records that last.
THIS COURSE IS FOR YOU, IF...
-
YOU ARE AN ASPIRING PRODUCER WITH A HOME STUDIO
It feels like you’re stuck at the demo stage, with dozens of unfinished tracks. This music producer course walks you through a complete production process, from session architecture and mix templates to LUFS-ready mastering, with instructor feedback on your assignments. You’ll finish a release-ready track of your own and finally feel ready to call yourself a producer.
-
YOU ARE AN EARLY-CAREER ENGINEER OR STUDIO ASSISTANT
You do the technical heavy lifting while someone else makes the creative calls. This music producer training covers the producer’s side of the glass: directing vocal sessions, managing artist psychology, mixing in Dolby Atmos and pricing your work with 50/50 deposits. You’ll leave ready to lead your own sessions and claim the credits, points and creative ownership you’ve been working towards.
-
YOU ARE A SONGWRITER OR ARTIST-PRODUCER
You write strong songs but still depend on others to bring them to life. This music producer course online teaches you synthesis in VCV Rack, home-studio miking, vocal comping and AI audio cleanup, plus techniques for breaking through creative block. You’ll walk away with the freedom to release on your own terms and a plan for three new income streams from your music.
Produce the record you’ve been hearing in your head.
You’ll take one original track from first synth patch to final master, recording live instruments and vocals, mixing with a pro-grade template and delivering phase-checked stems ready for sync or Atmos. Along the way, you’ll pick up the studio psychology and freelance business moves that help producers build a lasting career.
In the (virtual) room with a Grammy winner.
Stay on after class for 30-minute office hours, and hear your own mix and master played back and critiqued live in front of the cohort. Specialists in Dolby Atmos and mastering join Dom for podcast-style sessions with open Q&A.
Six graded assignments take you from building synth patches in VCV Rack to comping vocals, mixing a live drum multitrack and mastering your own track. Five live workshops put the theory to work, from allocating a £3k studio budget to choosing mics for a full band.
Your final project is a full producer deliverable: a mixed stereo track, phase-checked WAV stems ready for sync or Atmos remixing, and a self-mastered version. Add a three-month freelance business plan with proof of your first steps, and you have work to show clients, labels and sync agencies.
